Dr. Cunningham is an internationally renowned expert in childhood cancers and blood diseases. World Lymphoma Awareness Day by hosting “Follicular Lymphoma: On the Road to Cure” Educational Symposium on September 15th at Rush University Cancer Center and Rush University Medical Center. The educational symposium, chaired by Dr. Stephanie Gregory, originated from Chicago and featured seven world leading lymphoma experts. Presentations and panel discussions covered the follicular lymphoma waterfront – providing basic and advanced information about the disease as well as current treatment options and novel and emerging treatments. Patients’ probing questions received insightful and detailed responses from the faculty. Participants received a comprehensive set of written materials on follicular lymphoma.
More than 30,000 people from all over the world participated remotely by web, computer, social media, and mobile applications and by listening to the live broadcast on the Battling and Beating Cancer Radio Show on the Blog Talk Radio Network.

The James Cunningham Research Grant:
James Cunningham, a Hodgkin's lymphoma survivor, raised money for research by running in the Bank of America Chicago
Marathon.
Their efforts resulted in grants for Micro RNA and Primary CNS lymphoma. Way to go Samantha and James!
